Welcome to the Poinsettia Painters Web Site -

We are the Ventura County Chapter of the Society of Decorative Painters

We are a fun-loving group of painters. Member painting skill levels range from beginners to advanced. Throughout the year we learn different painting techniques, methods, and styles from talented teachers. Projects are taught mostly in acrylics but also include gauche, watercolor, & fabric painting.

As individuals, we all have our favorite style, teachers, and surfaces. Our classes and seminars provide us with opportunities to discover new mediums, styles, and surfaces.

Come paint with us!

Goals of our Chapter
• Promote decorative painting
• Promote the SDP with recruitment of new members and teachers
• Encourage a wide variety of techniques and mediums
• Make art accessible to youth
• Compliment the benefits of other local chapters

As a chapter, we look for local community outreach programs and participate in them. Currently, we are working with Tender Life and Hats From the Heart in Ventura County, California

Connie has adapted her oil painting techniques to her acrylic paints
